TERMS, CONDITIONS & PAYMENT METHODS
Classic Wadi Rum Tours (CWRT) is part of Jordan Horizons Tours (JHT). Jordan Horizons Tours is a fully licensed Jordanian travel agency located in Amman/Aqaba/Petra.
1. Personal Information and Privacy Policy
All necessary documents (Passport Copies / Passport list details, Mobile / Phone number and/or other documents are required and must be provided.
A copy of the passport of the person who is responsible for the booking is also required.
Passport details for all guests must be provided for tours commencing from the airport or border crossings, or for overnight tours. Passport details are required to prepare the visa manifest papers for our representatives at the airport/border crossings and are required for our drivers to have authorisation to pick up guests from these areas.
All bookings are required to be secured with a credit card and a copy of the front and back side of this credit card must be provided. Please note that we will not charge this credit card, it is just to secure the booking.
All personal information is stored securely and will not be disclosed to anyone outside of the employees of Classic Wadi Rum Tours.
2. Minimum Time for Booking Tours
For day tours we will accept reservation requests up to 48 hour before tour commencement date.
For overnight tours we will accept reservation requests up to 72 hours before tour commencement date.
3. Tour Rates
All prices for our tours are advised in United States Dollars (USD) or Jordan Dinars (JOD). They are based on schedules and tariffs at the time of printing. CWRT reserves the right to vary the price of the tour if taxes or other cost increase.
Rates are inclusive of prevailing service charge and sales tax. Any increase in the service charge and/or the sales tax will apply on the quoted rates.
4. Surcharges for Special/Restricted Dates
CWRT reserves the right to add a surcharge onto our advertised rates for tours that fall during special/restricted dates such as Christmas Period, New Year Period, Easter, Eid etc. These surcharges will be communicated to the client before finalizing the rate for the tour.
5. Single Supplement for Hotels
A single supplement is an additional sum of money that a hotel charges for one person to stay in a room meant for two people.
The rates that we provide are valid for Double/Twin/Triple Occupancy. For a single traveler or people wanting to have single occupancy in a room a single supplement will be added to cover the cost of the single room.
For 3* Hotels the single room supplement and use charge is $ 30 USD more per room per night to be added to the rate per person sharing double/twin/triple rooms
For 4* Hotels the single room supplement & use charge is $ 40 USD more per room per night to be added to the rate per person sharing double/twin/triple room.
For 5* Hotels the single supplement is determined per hotel.
6. Single Supplement in Wadi Rum
Single supplement for the luxury camps in Wadi Rum (Memories Aicha Luxury Camp, Wadi Rum Night Luxury Camp and Sun City Camp & any other luxury camp in Wadi Rum ):
Single supplement for standard luxury tent is $70USD more per room per night to be added to the rate per person sharing double/twin/triple room.
Single supplement for star gazing tent is $110USD more per room per night to be added to the rate per person sharing double/twin/triple room.
7. Itinerary Changes
CWRT reserves the right to amend the itinerary for reasons such as service requirements, road or weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Where a change is of a significant nature it will be advised to our customers in writing. CWRT cannot be held responsible for any service that we are unable to provide due to that particular component being unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control.
8. Confirmation Letter
Your confirmation letter will contain a copy of your final agreed itinerary and all other relevant details for your tour. It is your responsibility to check the confirmation letter and to let your tour consultant know immediately in the event of any error or inaccuracy.
9. Amendment to confirmed Itineraries
Any amendment to your confirmed final itinerary has to be sent to us in writing. Requested amendments, especially some days prior to arrival and during the tour, cannot always be considered if the expected complexity is not matching with our operational procedures and personnel capacity. CWRT reserves the right to charge a fee of $30USD at least for any amendments to the final itinerary. Any additional charges that result from the amendment will be added to the total.
10. Travel Insurance
CWRT does not provide travel insurance as part of our tour packages. It is highly recommended that you contact a travel insurance provider and take out travel insurance for the duration of your tour.
11. Accommodation
There will be variations in the size, standard and presentation of rooms and facilities within the one hotel. This is beyond the control of CWRT.
12. Availability
Our tour consultants are reachable during office hours only : Sun – Thu, 09:30-17:30. We will provide you with a mobile contact in Jordan you can reach seven days a week in emergency cases.
13. Passport, Visa & Vaccinations
You must familiarize yourself with any visa and health requirements that may be applicable. You are responsible for all entry/exit health and any other documents required by laws, regulations, orders, demands or requirements of countries visited or transited. Please note that passport and visa requirements are not the responsibility of CWRT. We will not be held liable for any loss or expense due to the failure to comply with the above. We recommend that you be in possession of a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended stay in Jordan.
14. Liabilities
Our rates are based on the prevailing rates as negotiated by us with the hotels and transportation companies etc. Hotels and transportation companies retain the right to modify the rates without notice. In case of such changes the rates quoted before the modification, can be changed by CWRT according to the modifications.
CWRT shall not be responsible for any delays and alterations in the program or expenses incurred, directly or indirectly, due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, immigration procedures, accident, breakdown of machinery or equipments, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closure or any untoward incidents.
CWRT shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting, directly or indirectly, from any act of God, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.
CWRT do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. All baggage and personal property at all times are at the client's risk.
CWRT shall not be responsible for the quality and prices of services and purchases not included in the booked tour package, like meals and souvenirs.
CWRT reserves the right at any time by giving the notice in writing to cancel this agreement, should the 2nd party fail to fulfill the terms and conditions.
15. Horse Ride at Petra
The horse ride fees in Petra is for 800 metres and is included in the entry ticket. This ride is not insured and is upon guest's own responsibility (please note that horse handler will expect a tip around 3-5 JD per horse).
16. Jeeps in Wadi Rum
4x4s in Wadi Rum are old vehicles (no A/C) and belong to the local Bedouin association. The vehicles in Wadi Rum are owned by the local Bedouin associations and are in a poor state. Given that we don't have any other choice when it comes to transportation in Wadi Rum, we can only advise our clients about their state. Jeep tours in Wadi Rum are to support the local community of Wadi Rum Protected Area and Natural Reserve.
Tours & Services of Wadi Rum should be run and arranged through the local Bedouin in order to support the local community.
17. Drivers of CWRT
You will be accompanied on your tour by an English Speaking Driver (if your final itinerary includes transfers). Whilst not an official licensed Ministry of Tourism guide, your driver is extremely knowledgeable about the area and its history, and is able to point out sites of interest and provide you with information as you travel. Your driver will assist you during your tour but is unable to enter the sites with you. Your driver transfers you according to your itinerary (destination to destination). He is not at your disposal 24/7.
18. Guide at Petra
You might find the guiding fees we offer is different from the rate available at the visitor's center of the site, but please consider the following:
The Local guides (who are at the visitor’s center of Petra site) are assigned at the visitor's center of the site and are employees of the Jordanian Ministry of Tourism. Travel Agencies cannot guarantee the quality of their services.
The guides that we employ at CWRT we can guarantee the quality of their service with the following standards & criteria :
-Language fluency & its accent
-Historical and archeological background & knowledge
-Excellent customer service
If the situation occurs that CWRT guides won't be available on that day for our clients , we will advise you and you can make the decision if you would like a local guide from the Visitors Centre. If for any reason there are any complaints about the Ministry of Tourism Guide then this should be reported to the Visitors Centre as we are not responsible and cannot guarantee the service and quality of those guides.
19. Services provided in Wadi Rum
As per the regulations of the Wadi Rum Authority tour activities must be handled by the Bedouin of Wadi Rum, using the their 4WD vehicles, camels, horse riding and hot air balloon or any other activities that takes place within Wadi Rum Protected Area. CWRT cannot guarantee the quality of the services provided by local Bedouin serving such services or activities.
Tours & Services of Wadi Rum should be run and arranged through the local Bedouin in order to support the local community.
20. Children Policy
For all CWRT tours children over the age of 12 are counted as an adult and charged the full rate.
It is important to check regarding children policies per hotel. Some hotels allow one child sharing parent's room from while others allow two. Also age of children vary from one hotel to another. Some hotels grant children stay at 50% of the adult price. Exact prices will be confirmed at the time of booking/request. At some hotels children are granted 50% off meals while other hotels charge flat rate for meals. Also hotels may apply restricted access times for children into leisure facilities. Kindly ask for all needed details at the time of booking.
Children accommodation arrangements and meals are not included within the quoted room rate. When a child shares the room WITHOUT EXTRA BED there are no additional accommodation charges but there will be a supplement charged for any meals required. The meal supplement is according to the hotel policy. If extra bed is needed then the room rate is based on a TRIPLE ROOM.
21. Complaints and Claims
If you are not satisfied and are unhappy with a certain aspect of our services/tour you may inform our local guide or trip consultant so that no similar problems occur. The majority of such problems can usually be solved on the spot. If not you should inform the general director of the agency. In case of complaints you should inform the agency in writing within 15 days after the end of your trip. A letter of reclamation should include the justified proof. CWRT is not responsible for all the reclamations submitted after 15 days after the end of the trip. In the unlikely event that you are disappointed with your hotel accommodation, transportation and any other service you can easily contact our team, and we will take it in consideration.
PAYMENT METHODS
For all tours a 100% deposit (Full Amount) is required at the time of booking. Some cases can be negotiated in terms of deposit in case of group(s) But deposit is needed and the remaining is required 14 days before the commencement date of your tour. It is recommended to pay the full amount for the booking.
Payment for the tour/deposit can be made using one of the following methods:
1. Credit Card Payment
You can use a Visa or Mastercard credit card to make an advance payment through either Middle East Payment Services (MEPS) Jordan or Emerging Markets Payment (EMP) Middle East. Credit card payments are subject to a 3% surcharge.

1a. Credit card payments using an authorisation form

Fill out the authorisation form and return it to us by email or fax (+96232012213)
Attachments required for credit card payments :
1. Copy of credit card (both sides) of person who is responsible for the booking
2. Copy of the passport of the credit card hold
1b. Credit card payments using an online secure link.
Please Booking / Contact and a secure payment link will be provided to make an online transaction.
Using either method for the credit card, the transaction will be processed by MEPs Jordan/or EMP and an invoice will automatically be sent for the amount deducted and will appear on your credit card statement (as charges by Jordan Horizons Tours & Travel ) .
Please note that you will be charged in Jordanian Dinar. The conversion rate is $1 USD = 0.708 JOD . The 3% surcharge is added to cover the merchant fees.

Payments by paypal are subject to a 5% surcharge. Please add 5% to the agreed final amount. Please send the copy of the transfer by email.
4. Western Union or Money Gram
If you wish to make a transfer via Western Union or a money gram please Booking / Contact for the full details. You will be required to cover the transfer fees yourself so that we receive the full amount for the tour.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
1. Cancellation policy for day trips
Special conditions apply for day tours not including hotel bookings. These excursions can be cancelled 08 days before arrival to Jordan with no penalty. After that date cancellation fees will be 100%. Transfer of a confirmed booking to another tour or departure date is deemed a cancellation of the original booking. There will be no refund for cancellation of unused services on or after commencement date.
In case of a travel warning to Jordan the cancellation policy will be handled case by case.
In case you decide to cancel the tour due to conflicts in neighboring countries this is possible until 14 days before the tour starts. We will charge an administrative fee of $25.00USD for day tours and the remainder will be refunded. Otherwise the above cancellation fees apply.
2. Cancellation policy for multi day trips
Cancellation requests need to be sent in written form. The following scale of charges applies:
Before 14 Days of Notice : 0 % of the total package price (Free Cancelation )
14 to 08 Days of Notice: 50% of the total package price
07 to 01 Day(s) of Notice: 75 % of the total package price
In Case of No-Show or cancelation on the day of arrival: 100 % of the total package price
There will be no refund for cancellation of unused services on or after commencement date.
For group tours (6+ people) cancellation rates will depend on the individual hotel policy and this will be advised separately.
Transfer of a confirmed booking to another tour or departure date is deemed a cancellation of the original booking. There will be no refund for cancellation of unused services on or after commencement date.
In case of a travel warning to Jordan the cancellation policy will be handled case by case.
In case you decide to cancel the tour due to conflicts in or travel warnings for neighboring countries this is possible until 14 days before the tour starts. We will charge an administrative fee of $100.00USD for overnight tours and the remainder will be refunded. Otherwise the above cancellation fees apply.
3. Cancellation policy for Shore Excursions from Aqaba Port
Special conditions apply for shore excursions not including overnight/hotel bookings. These excursions can be cancelled 08 days before arrival to Jordan with no penalty. After that date cancellation fees will be 100%. Transfer of a confirmed booking to another tour or departure date is deemed a cancellation of the original booking. There will be no refund for cancellation of unused services on or after commencement date.
In case the cruise ship will not dock in Aqaba Port/Jordan due to weather conditions or any other circumstances we will refund 100% of the payment.
In case of a travel warning to Jordan you can cancel the tour last minute. The money will be refunded to you in full, except additional bank charges or credit card charges are not covered by us.
In case you decide to cancel the tour due to conflicts in neighboring countries, this is possible until 07 days before tour start. We will charge an administrative fee of $25 USD for day tours and the remainder will be refunded. Otherwise the above cancellation fees apply.
4. Refunds
A refund will normally be made to the same account and using the same method used for the original payment. Additional bank charges or credit card charges are not covered by us.
