Jordanian Visa through Eilat Border :
Kindly note that starting 1st of January 2016, entry visas will no longer be issued at the Wadi Araba Border Crossing. Below are very important notes/points that you HAVE TO KNOW if you arrange your travel to cross to Jordan through Wadi Araba Crossing/South Border/Eilat Border ....
* Visa Can be arranged & secured in advacne through these 02 options :
(A) Through Jordanian Embassies abroad prior to their arrival at the border crossing which takes time . So, No visa will be issued for any other nationality through the Wadi Araba Crossing and entrance will only be granted to those who have obtained an entry visa to Jordan through Jordanian Embassies abroad prior to their arrival at the border crossing. This takes time of course ...
(B) Through a Local (Jordanian) Tour Operators (Jordanian Travel Agency) ... In this case you can submit your visa through any Local (Jordanian) Tour Operators (Jordanian Travel Agency) , Arrivals through this border can secure the visa in advance through a travel agency :
(1) They should submit manifest lists and travel documents (Passports' Copies or Passports' details , Arrival Date & Time , Departure Date & Time , Departure Point ...etc) pertaining to the tour group to the Tourism and Marketing Directorate of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) at a minimum of 24 hour prior to the group’s arrival to the country, so that visas and clearances can be issued smoothly in accordance with laws and procedures.
(2) Local tour operators should submit necessary insurances that guarantees that all members of the touristic group will leave through the Wadi Araba Border Crossing and not through any order point of departure.
(3) All member of the original submitted manifest are present upon departure; permissions for departure will not be granted to groups in which members included on the original manifest are not present.
* Visa fees ( When charges are applied & When can be waived /exempted) here are the cases :
- Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA)'s fees : 20 JD / $ 30 USD per person
- Jordan visa fees : 40 JD / $ 57 USD per person
- Jordan Departure Tax : 10 JD / $ 15 USD per person (to be paid at the border)
- Petra Entrance fees : 90 JD / $ 127 USD per person
(B) When staying 01 night in Jordan , this means staying in Jordan for 02 days / 01 night , the fees are :
- Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA)'s fees : 20 JD / $ 30 USD per person
- Jordan visa fees : 40 JD / $ 57 USD per person
- Jordan Departure Tax : 10 JD / $ 15 USD per person (to be paid at the border)
- Petra Entrance fees : 50 JD / $ 70 USD per person in case of Petra day visit , 55 JD / $ 77 for 02 days visit
(C) When Staying 02 nights in Jordan (OR MORE), this means staying in Jordan for 03 days / 02 nights (OR MORE) the fees are :
- Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA)'s fees : FREE (will be exempted)
- Jordan visa fees : FREE (will be exempted)
- Jordan Departure Tax : 10 JD / $ 15 USD per person (to be paid at the border)
- Petra Entrance fees : 50 JD / $ 70 USD per person in case of Petra day visit , 55 JD / $ 77 for 02 days visit ..etc
*So, How to submit a visa :
-You should send your passport's/passports' copies or passport's/passports' details (Passport Name/Number, Nationality , Dates of Birth, Issue & Expiry)
- Date & Time of Arrival
- Date & Time of Departure
- Departure Point (Through Eilat Border ?) or Which Airport or other borders ...etc
- The Tour Itinerary
Please note that in case of submitting a visa , all of these details must be with the travel agency/the tour operator (from Arrival until Departure), the visa must be signed/stamped as arrival and exit , the visa can not be granted in other cases , for example to be used to border crossing only , at the end of your tour in Jordan , this visa must be stamped/signed upon departure to be collected and returned to the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) ...
